Gyro Burger


Ingredients:
Meat Mixture
6 oz ground lamb
8 oz ground chicken
1 tsp. rosemary or thyme
1 tsp oregano
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp grated onion
1 tbsp EVOO
salt & pepper

Tzatziki Sauce
8 oz nonfat plain greek yogurt
1/2 cup cucumber peeled, seeded, and chooped
1 tbsp EVOO
3 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp chopped dill
salt & pepper

Romaine, Tomato, Red Onion Thinly Sliced, and a sprinkle of Feta cheese for each burger

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients for meat mixture
  • Form 4 burgers
  • Let sit for 30 minutes
  • Mix all ingredients for tzatziki sauce
  • Grill

Cook lamb to 160°
Cook chicken to 165°

Serve with garnishes of lettuce leaves, tomato, onion and feta crumbles or serve on top of greek salad.
