SACRIFICE

I usually end every post with the #sacrifice.  I do this because part of your journey should include sacrificing certain things that will benefit your weight loss.

Not all things that are considered sacrifice are food related.

One of the best sacrifices I’ve made would be exercise. I literally work out daily.  This could mean sacrificing watching TV or being online. Basically what this means is instead of watching the same repeat for the 10th time I get up and move.

We all want to succeed,  but some of us don’t want the hard work that it takes to get there. In the words of Eric Thomas I want to succeed more than I want to breathe. I wake up at 5am to hit the gym by 6am. I then go back at 5pm for round two. The excuses I hear is I don’t have time. You do, its part of that word sacrifice.

Our minds are built for comfort. But we must get out of our comfort zone if we plan on succeeding. We have failed way to many times by allowing comfort to set in. This time is different. This time you are armed with a tool that can help. This time we will all win.

You’ve got this!!!

  • Having the surgery is the easy part. The hard part is getting your head together after surgery, and yes, there are TONS of sacrifices that we have to make to be successful. I'm still new to all of this having only had my surgery in February. I've not been exercising. AT ALL. I could make a lot of excuses, but I won't. My daughter bought me the stationary bike that I've been wanting, which was super sweet of her. I wasn't happy with the money she spent, but she said, "Momma, if I would have taken you to a nice restaurant, and we ate a nice meal including dessert(which we ALWAYS did) it would have been more than the bike. She is right. She said, "I just want you to be successful and healthy. You deserve it." We ALL deserve it, and my big motivation is making my temple of the Lord look as good on the outside as it feels on the inside. With risk and sacrifice comes great reward! Thanks so much for posting this. A lot of people think that just because they have surgery the weight will fall off effortlessly. Not true at all. It takes hard work and dedication. Every pound lost is a victory, and I do not plan to squander the blessings I have been given!
